Heute ist endlich das erste Exemplar unseres Megacoolen Sommerferientagebuchs angekommen. Die Tochter war schon aufgeregt. Und ich sowieso.

In der Zwischenzeit hatte ich schon wirre Träume. Dass ich Seiten verwechselt habe und falsche Schriftarten und pipapo. Offensichtlich hatte ich am Ende bissl viel Zeit reingesteckt.

Heute haben wir endlich aufgeatmet, denn es ist wirklich schön geworden. Ich bin froh, dass ich im letzten Moment noch auf ein größeres Format gewechselt habe. So sind die eingefügten Ausmalbilder auch besser ausmalbar. Das Papier ist auch gute Qualität, so dass man nicht sofort durchkritzelt. Morgen kommt dann die große Ladung, und dann kann hier fröhlich drauflos gemalt, geschrieben und gekritzelt werden.

Aufgrund der rasch nahenden Ferien hatte ich mich entschieden gehabt, das Ding bei KDP zu veröffentlichen. Ganz glücklich bin ich nicht, dass es somit nur auf Amazon erhältlich ist. Aber Books on Demand hätte zu viel Zeit gebraucht. Beim nächsten Mal gehe ich aber wieder zu BoD zurück. Und das nächste Projekt ist auch schon in Arbeit. Juhu

It’s finally here. Our supercool Summer Holiday Diary. The girl was very excited. And me too of course.

I had quite some crazy dreams about it lately. That I had messed up pages and forgot to implement fonts. I had obviously put in too much time.

But today I let out a deep sigh of relief. It’s turned out really cool. I like the colors and I am glad that I switched to a bigger format last minute. This way the coloring pages are actually better to play with. The paper is also good quality so you will not scratch the paper with the first pen. Tomorrow we will receive more of them and then the kids can go ahead and draw and write and scribble. I hope they will enjoy it.

Since time was tight I decided to publish it with KDP. I am not very happy that it is only available through amazon this way but Books on Demand usually takes too long. But next time I will go back to BoD. And I have already started working on the next project. No Deadline though, although i am focusing on my birthday as a release date. Let’s go!
